"THE DARK LAB" is a short sci-fi / horror fiction action game, inspired by @thetrung 's pixel art / concept, that only came to life when @ComeAtMeBoi caught up with him to develop together.
:: INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS ::
WINDOWS VERSION
Double click the installer and follow the steps.
IMPORTANT
The windows installer might be blocked by your antivirus or windows because of a false positive. I've been told before that it gets detected as a virus but trust me,it's not.You can execute it safely.
MAC OS X VERSION
Unzip and execute the game. If you have trouble executing the application then do the following :
1) Reach at the same folder at which your application exists.
2) Within the terminal program,execute this link of code :
chmod a+x The Dark Lab.app/Contents/MacOS/*

To start off, I love the art and animation of the game. It's very atmospheric and it tells a story without "telling a story". The boss was pretty cool and had a smooth feel to it.
The gameplay was...painful at times. You have to watch your ammo super closely or you literally can't finish the game, even the knife uses ammo. When you walk through a door you have a 50/50 chance of being instantly killed. Some parts feel like pure luck to get through.
All that said, with a few tweaks it would be a great game. Those are just my opinions. It was a fun experience.
